March's membership meeting had President Jayne Heath issuing her President's Challenge for 2018. She passed around the information to all members and below is a summary:
It is the 300th anniversary of the City of San Antonio. No beads or materials are issued that must be used. Instead, the challenge is to use your imagination and creativity to design and execute something that represents the City of San Antonio and its rich history and culture. At the regular meeting on 13 June 2018, the challenge pieces are to be presented. So please bring you creation along with an information card briefly explaining the inspiration and focus of your project. Judging will be in the following categories: Bead Weaving, Stringing and Wire/Metal. First, second and third places will be awarded with the decisions made by a panel of impartial judges. A People's Choice Award will also be decided by the SABS membership.
